I find it funny

How certain phrases and words make it obvious who a person is based on their reactions, and sadly, it is mostly men who have the most violent reactions to them.

• Toxic masculinity
• Self-sufficiency isn't helpful to the individual, community, or society
• Opinions are based on feelings, not facts
• Privilege isn't what you own or worked for
• Telling friends you love them
• Hugging friends/physical contact that is intimate does not mean sexual
• Seeking out help is how we survive as a society
• Therapy is for everyone
• Generational trauma is preventable with self-awareness
• Just because you had it okay or struggled doesn't mean everyone else must as well
• Just because you think you "came out fine" doesn't mean you really did
• Self accountability creates freedom from regret and shame

And these are just a few I can think of in 5 minutes. The list is long, and if the person opposing these thoughts actually took time to research these things to challenge their currently held beliefs, we might actually become better as a society. Of course, it's easier to be angry and deny there is any responsibility or obligation to become better people.

It is a nice list but a few items are not clear cut, e.g. the one about asking for help and self-sufficiency. Would you really want a society where no one can take care of their business? Do want someone to ask you for help for even the simplest things? Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Just a thought.

@Knecht2014 What about our elderly? Our physically challenged people? Those suffering from mental illnesses? As a society, do we just let them deal with everything on their own? Is that humane? The idea is equity. That everyone has an equitable share of resources, including help. You don't just dump those people and let them hope for the best. As a society, we are only as strong as our weakest person, so it is our obligation to help bring those up to equitable standards so we are all strong. That is literally how we have survived so long as a species and is currently becoming our downfall as we turn away from this structure.
