Every generation is a disappointment to the one it before it, and a drain on the one after it.

Boomers disappointed the war generation with their drugs, bad hair cuts, rock n roll, high divorce rate, disrespect for authority and for loosing the Vietnam war to the commies.

Millennials, all those social progress missions you’ve worked so hard for will be adopted by the next generation, and be taken in a completely different and unnecessary direction to the point where they are unrecognisable. And you’ll be able to do nothing about it but grumble and vent bitterly into your old age.

Everyone takes their turn as the young revolutionary, the indifferent 30something, and the bitter old timer. So strap in and get comfortable.

@Magenta Happy to oblige.
Heck with all of them. It's 3:15 AM and I just came inside from gazing at the stars. They are still there.

AH, that does seem to be an oversimplified generalization about generations.

@Zeusdelight Coming from a guy who writes posts about whether he should use a condom or pull out?

I’ve got a nice turnip here for you to munch on…
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@Jaego Well that makes so much sense!

The parents had a clue? Maybe I'm not disappointed because I knew always I didn't.
Weak men create hard times..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Drug culture is a boomer legacy.

And look at how Saigon differed from Paris.
