What will unite humanity?

Will it take massive natural disasters and tragedies for us to finally put aside our differences in caste, religion, race, and geography and unite in a needto survive? Or will we be sufficiently inspired by love, empathy, and compassion to do so?

What will it take to unite us?or will we ever?

@Renkon it's a thought to ponder, but what I mean is those that hold power and use it for greed without a shred of concern of the impact or consequence it has to the people below them.
