Name one thing you've done for humanity?

@Matt85 I ask my parents to match the value of my birthday gift to the homeless shelter or the soup kitchen. I’ve been doing that since I left the psych ward, so for several years. Last year they matched the value to the Homeless Shelter, Soup Kitchen, and the woman’s shelter. I was so excited.

@Matt85 it’s the only time I don’t feel like a piece of shit… when I’m volunteering or giving. I do it for selfish reasons. So I can not feel ugly inside for a little while.

@Matt85 That’s what the nun I sometimes work with says. I mentioned it to her, and she pointed at the people we help and said… they… don’t care your reasons. they just need help.
