Oh yes... and let's throw Fahrenheit 451 into the mix for good measure.
@TrashCat yep read that one too.
@TrashCat @Quoththeraven I love the fact that Ray Bradbury corrected himself after writing that. He predicted that there would be no need to burn books, because they would become irrelevant.

Ya a lot of people out here getting mad when their dear leader is proved a liar. Very Orwellian..

Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. - George Orwell.
War on woke means "no".
Murkan people don't want to be awake.

Long time ago in school
Read the book, as it was required reading when I was attending school. Saw the movie, because people kept saying I absolutely needed to see it. Watched all but the most recent seasons of the show, because there was a several year hiatus after [mad spoiler, yo]. While we're at it, let's throw in Fahrenheit 451.

Yeah, shit's clicking. The far right like to redefine existing words in order to use them to attack their enemies, while banning books, making certain words illegal, and simultaneously claiming they are the party of free speech. And I'm going to leave you with one final quote. "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross." -Author unknown, mistakenly attributed to Sinclair Lewis.

Update: I mangled the quote a bit.
