Is humanity loosing that crucial particle

That makes it fundamentally kind? In the end times men will become lovers of self.

Do we see it happening more or are we just more acutely aware?

Its always been as bad if not worse. The difference now is the wonderful thing we call social media.
News from a state across the country or even a different country is in your face instantly now. In the past it was a week down the road before you heard of some tragedy if you heard of it all.
Now people you dont know,haven't ever associated with are free to say whatever they want without repercussion. Instantly. Dictated by whatever their mood may be in.
There is very little if any consequences for anything online. It brings out the worst in people and rarely the best.

I think we are more acutely aware more so now because of all that's happening around us. Society is changing some good and some for the bad.

@Quoththeraven Exactly.....look how many wars we've already fought in the past.....but, I think the media plays a big part in what we see and recognize now. Everything is thrown out there.....whether it be fact or fiction.
