can anyone tell me, why would anyone want to live is this territory? it's not economic b/c natural resources are worse than scarce. there's no oil or diamonds or trees or etc.. it's a desert... it's not strategic by any means, tucked into the east end of the Mediterranean makes it a fly over country. so, other than religion, is there any good reason to stay there? i just don't understand the trade off of innocent lives. what am i missing?

@tenente Keep in mind that most Gazans aren't allowed to leave the region. Plus, moving is a lot harder when you're poor.
