It reminds me of the monologue that America Ferrera said in the movie, Barbie. Something like,(about women): You need to be assertive, but not too assertive. You need to stay at home, but should really get a job. You should be good at something, but not Too good. You should be pretty, but not Too pretty. and the quote goes on a bit longer... it is like, it was about women, how we can never be what society WANTS (but it can go for anyone). I'm learning through a few self help books a main theme.. .be what YOU want, and others will need to acclimate to THAT, not us being small our WHOLE life to please everyone 24/7. :(
