Very true!
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@xNicolax1 I think so.

Let me say I completely agree with this. But equally, the reverse is just as true.. Both sides need to be very careful what they wish for..😷
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Agreed.

@LadyBronte And for a light hearted perspective, Try this.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Exactly.
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
Lol. Well .. I've recently been told that's the "version" of me my soon-to-be ex is out telling people we know about. This while leaving out her affair, repeatedly quitting marriage counseling, and well over a decade of not being an engaged, accountable and trustworthy partner. In the end .. she got the "version" she brought out.
How much do I care?
How much do I care?
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@BrandNewMan Yeah, my last fuck burned up a long time ago, too, but mine didn't have any pretty container or such an orderly burn. Lol. Sorry about that. From what you've said, that behavior doesnt surpise me. Your real friends already know the score and won't pay attention to her rambling. Her friends....does it really matter what they think?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Works in the opposite direction, too.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@ChipmunkErnie Yep.

I agree, but you can swap the genders and it’s just as true. Cruelty and betrayal in matters of the heart are not gender specific.

@LadyBronte Years ago I read an article in a Baptist youth fellowship paper in a doctor’s office.
It stuck with me. The writer did a wonderful job talking about “Gentle Breakups” and cautioned young readers about breaking hearts and destroying trust. It warned that being untrustworthy, lying, cheating, etc., would leave wounds that might take decades to heal, if they ever did.
Maybe thirty years later,!t’s still one of the truest things I ever read.

@Mamapolo2016 It sounds like that article was a good one. And yes, gentle breakups should be the goal. Sadly some people don't care and hearts end up destroyed.

@LadyBronte Sadly, yes.

I'm not happy that there are multiple women who feel this way about me. At the very least, some got to know me after being estranged and make peace.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@twistedrope Sorry about that, but at least it wasn't all of them forever. Were any of them justified in their feeling?
twistedrope · 26-30, M
@LadyBronte All of them were justified to see me as a trauma. I was downright cruel. It was how I was raised. Then one day, after failing to "change" my gf at the time, out of pure exhaustion I decided to "Accept her for who she was, no exceptions." That became a pivotal point of change and years layer when I met my ex's or old friends who were women, the change of me for them is a shock.
I could comfortably explain my actions and regrets without wanting to take advantage or to be absolved, speaking only to offer a genuine feeling I wasn't capable of communicating when we were close.
Imagine it. Never being able to trust another person, communicate that feeling or properly address any small conflict or friction without hurting who you love through callous, dishonest, critical and controlling behaviour. I'm glad I escaped such an awful pattern. >.>

@twistedrope Good for you. Not many see or care to escape that pattern.

Depends on her as much as her man. Who knows, she could be drinking box wine till she can't stand up and wearing magic healing crystals around her neck while reaking of cat urin. This too happins.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Munumbis Now that's a mental image. Lol. But yes, betrayal isn’t gender specific.
Adroneandastrain · 46-50, M
That's I say just the more common ways to fail, sadly, I aim to be failing and not bringing anyone down with me. .....:)
