the more you are here, the more the algorithm is helping you.
I see when I take a couple of days break, it's harder to get a response, if I stay here for 10 hours (having other tabs open on the computer and doing other things) my posts have more responses.

Some days I might post something and get responses after 2-3 hours.

Probably a lot of the latter here, sadly. The Experience Project, SWs predecessor, had a much more active community of members. Enough years have passed that the same could have been true here. but that level of interaction simply never happened.

When I have been gone for more than 12 hours, I tend to skip videos. And maybe others have given up on videos altogether because they still haven't figured out how to watch the ones you need to open in a new tab and don't even bother trying anymore whether it plays inside the post.

I don't think this is the best site for engagement. It's sort of say what you want to say and decide to deal with the reactions or not. If you try to make post based on what gets the most attention you won't like yourself very much.
