How do you want your friends (male or female) and/or your partner to comfort you when you cry?

I would normally NEVER cry in front of another human being...if I did, it would be involuntary. AND if I did, I would be tremendously embarrassed and angry with myself, and I would want complete privacy, and I would want everyone to leave me alone. There was only ONE time I wanted someone. It was at my father's funeral in Iowa, and I couldn't stop crying. The ex just walked with me around the church, and held my hand. That was perfect.
