The problem is that it used to mean we didn't care what other people thought about us. More and more, especially with the older half of GenX, it has come to mean we don’t care about the next generations or the environment. The boomers did enough harm with that attitude. We used to be better than them. Now we're just like them, but better at tech.

Listen, I hear ya loud and clear. That's a heavy-duty realization, thinkin' we turned into the very thing we used to roll our eyes at back in the day. It’s like we traded in the flannel and the "whatever" attitude for the same old mess, just with better gadgets.
