For those of you not familiar with ANZ - they are one of the largest Banking groups across Australia, New Zealand and the wider South Pacific region.

I'm keen to know your feeling about offering employees paid leave for gender affirmation.

Yes - ive been in the corporate world most of my life and this is now becoming a bit of a joke. I do understand the need from some people to have various reassignment operations and associated time off that goes with it - but in my humble opinion that would be out of your current leave benifits - but maybe it just makes these corporates look good....
So we instead of using my accrued sick leave.. I get extra sick leave to go chop my Dong off ?
did they even ask their customers/shareholders ‘ is this is where they wanted profits spent’?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Hey - it's their shareholders money they are wasting, so they can do what they want without losing their own! 😏
@helenS on pondering..
just how many employees do they think are going to run out and get the snip and tuck?
Seems like a big exercise in virtue signalling..
I’m sure they could just approach the 0.7% of employees who might and offer to pay.. 🤔🤷‍♂️

It’s June tho..

I can have the operation done outpatient, similar to removing the culprit in an Appendectomy but conveniently called TakeMyDickFromMe (not to be confused with the opposite version - AddADickToMe) on Friday, rest and come in the following Monday. No need to demand the company pay for it. I take alphabet pride in my gender reassignments, assignments, whatever from one day to the next.

"Gender affirmation"? What is that?

Why does it need paid leave?

What the hell is that?

Not from those countries.

The thing is a company should be allowed to take whatever Holliday they want in addition to national holidays.

Now if this was a national issue that's different.

I have zero clue what that is
