Why do some hide their age here?

Are we supposed to guess? Is it a game I’m not in on?

The number of private messages went down dramatically for me once I removed my age and image from my avatar.

I was getting love interests from the wrong countries. Now nobody wants to screw me. It's great, I feel like a uninteresting loser.... just like in real life.
