Are humans allowed to live wild in the USA and Canada's?

I just saw a documentary on wild horses and I was wondering if humans are allowed to live in wild without government interference

Not really. There is no "wild" land left in the U.S.
It's all either private owned property (therefore you can't legally live/trespass), or it's government-owned (meaning you can be arrested for even setting foot on it without permission).
@DearAmbellina2113 My understanding is you can camp in certain undeveloped BLM land for free, called boondocking. The general rule is that you are supposed to move every 14 days. There are some fee campsites. I'm no expert, but there are plenty of sites offering advice.
