Almost 50 people shot in Chicago this weekend

I feel bad for you and I hate violence , I’m highly respectful of others property, I don’t like what’s happening at all, but, please don’t play into it as a political thing against the Democratic Party. I have Boogaloos on photo (right wing extremists), committing similar violent acts at the same time. I’m a Democrat and not a fan of Trump, but I’d be the one trying to guard you from harm.@irishmolly72

@irishmolly72 I am not condoning any violence, but you are lumping an awful lot of things together. Please don't condemn all protests, even those which get a bit violent, because something prompts the violence. It appears that as soon as the so called federal forces left, the violence decreased a great deal, so violence does seem to feed on violence.

@BackyardShaman if that’s what you believe I know I won’t change your mind. But I could not disagree with you more. What is happening has nothing to do with who the president is. The most liberal cities in the US are being overrun by people who are anarchists. They don’t care who is in office.

@samueltyler2 I’m curious. Did you even bother to read the article I posted? They surrounded the police station, attempted to burn it down and trapped 20 officers and other civilian staff inside. That is attempted murder. Pulling federal officers out of Portland did nothing to decrease violence. It was just redirected. The truth is out there for everyone to see. And it’s happening every night. Hide in the sand if you want too.

@JesseInTX yes I did. I am not defending antifa at all, I agree that they are as bad as other groups such as the clan.

But, there are many reports of the violent activity decreasing once the federal forces departed, or pulled back. That was my point. I decided not to get into an argument with you, it wasn't worth my blood pressure rising. I have no idea what you are referring to as redirecting violence. @samueltyler2 when I say redirected, they went from the federal building to local precincts of city police. They covered someone’ grandma in paint because she dared to stand in front of them and put out a fire they set. The truth is the democrats won’t denounce it. Pelosi, Schumer, et all have refused to denounce it. There is one federal building in Portland. There are many police precincts. They’ve redirected to other areas.

What’s sad to me is seeing men and women like you who lived through WWII not seeing or recognizing what is happening now is Germany circa 1938. Burn books, rewrite history, year down statues of those who formed and furthered our country, attempt to ban Christianity.

@JesseInTX you know, I totally agree with your observation, but you are blind to how much similarity there is between the way the current administration is acting like the German Socialist Republic, later called the Nazi Party. If you have the time, and inclination, to read history, I suggest you read Ullrich's book on the rise of Hitler!

@samueltyler2 my minor is in history so I’ve read plenty of it and still do. If you really think that the current administration is mirroring the rise of the nazi party in 1930s Germany then I can’t help you. Nor can you help yourself. You are blinded by your hatred of a man and what is being done at local levels to build a national movement. Socialist mayors and councils allowing and encouraging violence and destruction to further a political agenda on a national level which includes total government control. A modern day example is Venezuela. Time to end this conversation. It’s clear from past conversations as well we don’t agree on many things. I’ve never insulted you, but you have questioned my intelligence several times and frankly enough is enough Sam. Adios.
