I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

Do you think that the school shootings and other violence mainly comes from lack of discipline, especially parental discipline? One woman said that in our day (we grew up in the 80s) armed school officials meant a paddle not a gun. Lack of discipline is probably part of the problem but there's more going on than that. I told her there were plenty of spoiled brats in our day too, although it wasn't the majority like it is now.

I don't think most kids are spoiled. The increase in violence in our society is of multiple causes. Unfortunately, the availability of weapons of mass destruction enables the end result!

@samueltyler2 Shoot most kids ARE spoiled. I work retail and see parents give in to the left and right. More often than not parents buy their child a toy every time they shop. They act like they're scared to say no and let their kids run wild.

Basically spoiled is giving special treatment and not being able to say no, essentially giving in to a child's demands.
