Probably means they have not seen it or they might be waiting for you to go offline before they open it. A lot of people think they have gift someone back or message to say thank you and might not want to.

Why accept gifts from strangers?
Your question suggests that you are very egocentric, bordering on narcissistic.

@matthewjames and they may be from people you really do not want to chat to, but might feel obligated to do so. If you like receiving , then fine, but there is no obligation to open them from anyone

Not necessarily... They might just not click with the person who sent the gift and that's a good indication you may be barking up the wrong tree...

Maybe they just don't want the gift.
Dez580 · 61-69, M
@thinkingoutloud oh i agree about that
Sam17 · 18-21, M
Nope I have 4 gifts I haven't opened
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
No that’s not enough proof
Have they been online since you gifted them, do you know them, do they know you, or was it just some rando member you just met? Those are all factors why they didn't open it.
@matthewjames If they do not know you they won't open it. If you want to message someone, ask them first in open comments and replies, if they do not know you do not be surprised if they say no.

@NativePortlander1970 oh I was thinkin sending a gift is a nice way to ask to message some people say talk in post first then message
@matthewjames No, ask in open forum, outright private messaging without asking first will get you blocked nearly 100% of the time, and never gift until you know them first.
