My beautiful mother

fell the day before yesterday while checking her mail. She tripped over the edge of the road and landed on her face. Busted her chin & both knees. She laid in the road until some man stopped, helped her up & got her into her house.
Thank you God for sending this angel. She could have very easily been hit and killed lying in the road.
So from now on, one of us will go by daily and check her mail for her.

Going by there every day is definitely a good idea. You can't rely on good Samaritans to be there on time. If she is old enough to begin tripping, you will also want to remove the rugs inside her house, make sure there are no stairs she HAS to go up to get to bed, and for added safety, be sure she has one of those buttons she can push if she falls in the house and can't get up.

@4meAndyou She's 76 so yeah, I have to watch her even more closely now. And I'm 5 minutes away if anything were to happen but she does wear her life alert everywhere she goes.

@Tumbleweed She must have forgotten to press it while she was lying in the road. Make sure there are no small rugs or throw rugs anywhere in her house.

@4meAndyou She was face down, flat in the road & couldn't move. Thank God for the man who stopped & helped her.
