Anyone else lose all hope in humanity?

Adam Johnson (the hockey player whose neck was slashed) was what sent me spinning down the rabbit hole. I can't even say why. Maybe because my son played hockey or maybe (and I am thinking more accurately) what a senseless loss of a beautiful human. I must get out of this spiral though easier said than done.

Never had any hope in humanity, not even as a child.

There are wonderful efforts of pure altruism happening almost everywhere every day,
but the sum of our foolishness, greed and anger outweighs the good.

The proof is climate change and its rate of acceleration.

The effect of global warming will soon far surpass the sufferings from all other causes:
we're heading (the way of the dinosaurs) towards catastrophic global extinctions of 90% of all species,
possibly including our own due to loss of food production.
