I look forward to the day when

white is just another skin colour, and English is just another language.

We are on the way there; my country is becoming more multicultural all the time. :)

It's a privilege to live in a multilingual area indeed. It's like you have the preeup of what the rest of the world is working to reach.

@Queendragonfly Years ago I was telling an American guy about Canada being an officially bilingual country, and he was like "you mean you could be walking down the street and hear somebody speaking a different language??"

I have often thought about that because, of course, apart from French as an official language, I've heard a variety of languages spoken on the street in every town in Canada that I have lived in!

Of course that is true in many American cities as well; this guy was from a small town I presume...
@ServantOfTheGoddess the only other language i hear in tbe u.s. is spanish lol

@Venturist Well at least that is one of the more beautiful languages on the planet!
I've heard others. I can't stop to learn them all. I've been learning french. I'll probably lean Spanish next but most Mexicans learn English. I don't know what is wrong with that. @Venturist
