@sylvsn59 score!! and tell everyone you think of?

You got it! I'm on it! Thank you so much for caring about things like this and for sharing with us. I'm all for it. I will definitely join!
Ontheroad · M
@LadyGrace I've seen it and yes, one of the things that always got me was the despair on the faces of the mothers of the children who suffered the consequences of diseased and contaminated water.
@Ontheroad Yes. So sad. I've been looking for an organization like this that can be trusted and these people definitely can be trusted. So I'm very grateful you brought this to our attention. I just pray so many get involved and join this blessed cause.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@LadyGrace you are so generous..thank you!!!

oh and: nestle makes water bottles, and took something like 50 million gallons of water from cali during their wildfires. so they say it is not a human right, ALL WHILE PROFITING FROM IT.
@foldedunfolding Exactly!
Matt85 · 36-40, M
I already tithed this month but maybe next month. No shame in this by the way.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@foldedunfolding You're amazing. People who do as well as you are rarely such big sharers. (Not sarcasm btw!! I know you sometimes suspect that shiz!)
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@Matt85 awwww tysm..i am nothing of the sort but thank you
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@foldedunfolding You know where the good-work is at. :)
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
aw thank you for keeping the PSA alive! you are so sweet to mention me, but i wasnt expecting that at all! 40 dollars a month will help TWELVE people get clean water, guys.
Ontheroad · M
@foldedunfolding I mentioned you because you are one of SW's sweethearts, and I figured I'd draw in a few readers by tagging you😁
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@Ontheroad awwww you are so sweet dude
I just hope people will tell their friends and family to get involved with this wonderful charity.
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
I'm aware of this need. It's not just 'water' that is needed, but potable water.
Here's a contact to a man who's been involved in a similar quest to help humanity.
I suggest you talk with John directly rather than just rely on the website info.

http://www.campwater.com/contact.html
Ontheroad · M
@JollyRoger I don't disagree with talking to people and not just looking at a website. I thoroughly checked them out to see if they were legit and they stay in contact with those who support their project plus encourage supporters to communicate with them.

https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/223936753 This shows Charity Water is highly rated

Still, talking to others never hurts.

Just be aware, that others will pump their organization up while talking negatively about others... not all of them but some.
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
@Ontheroad In this case, I know a bit about their work. My nephew works directly for John. It's legit and John has a history of humanitarian interests that spans back over 50 years. By all means..... do your research and good luck.

Well done guys x
SW-User
I've donated to many charities already ...let me look underneath my sofa cushions for spare change
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User I know the feeling, this one hit me on a personal, "been there, seen that" level, and I stopped another charity to get involved in this one.
I got trust issues (and I believe for good reasons) but I don't give money to organizations. As I want someone to directly blame when (not if, BUT WHEN) that money doesn't get to the correct place.

But I wanted to just say if it is a good cause, then I support you promoting it and don't think you should consider shame, as this is a great job and great effort to help people.

If they're a good organization, thank you for speaking up for them.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
I shall send over powdered water.
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
Is there a way I could donate cases of water instead? Because I refuse to donate money to charities.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@TurtlePink very kind of you, but i don't think you can do that through THIS charity. maybe locally..bad experiences with charities?
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
@foldedunfolding it’s just when you give somebody money it’s there for them to do whatever they want with it and not what it was intended for.
bookerdana · M
It will increasingly become a problem,here...thanks
