I worked hard today

Lots of cleaning. Turned down a big tip for it too. I want and need the money but The lady has cancer, getting chemo, husband in hospital for kidney transplant. I just couldn’t take that much from them.
After a nap, I worked on my house, then shopped for some one else And unloaded the stuff (barely a thanks for that)
Highlight of the day was seeing my son walking with a smile to greet me at his place of work when i happened to be there. 🥰

@Stuffy As long as you are progressing, there are multiple ways to get there.

We usually have at least one storm every year where we get 18 inches or more. This past year we didn't, though we have had up to 43 inches in 24 hours. I think this winter will be relatively cold and snowy. I've got my firewood laid in and I'm ready.

@windinhishair do you heat by wood furnace. We are moving into an electric furnace house but there’s a fire place- i hope the landlord says it’s safe to use it 🪵 🔥

@Stuffy I heat with a combination of fuel oil and wood stove. The woodstove is a Norwegian Jotul which puts out a lot of heat. I've had winters where I went through less than 200 gallons of fuel oil. I stack 12 to 15 face cords of wood for the winter, and have additional wood I can cut late in winter if I am starting to run short. There is nothing like the warmth of a wood fire and the sound of crackling wood to take the chill out.

@samueltyler2 when hub comes home he will need a relatively sanitary environment because of the new kidney, she said so I pushed myself to do the best I could.
