What was the first names of your Grandparents?

@Loretta78 nope. You must realize that the Germans had to be all over europe even in the 1920 when mom and dad where born. Many were even born in foreign nations themselves.

@DeWayfarer Oh my! How shall I guess the country now where your grandparents were born? 😩
I still think of Belgium and Liechtenstein... 🤔 otherwise I have to list all European countries, and there are many of them! 😲

@Loretta78 grandparents on my father's side. Czechoslovakia.

Grandparents on my mothers side. Romania. Though mom never could confirm her mother was born there. Possibly somewhere around the Caspian Sea. Not even close to Germany.

@DeWayfarer That´s interesting! Although I live directly near Czech Republic I never would have guessed that. And also not Romania/Caspian Sea. Very interesting!!

By the way: Did you ever make a DNA-test? (I made it a few years ago because I was very excited to know which other roots of other nationalities I have without to know) 🙂

@Loretta78 no. And not likely to. They would have to make a contract that says they absolutely will not use the test for other purposes.

I highly doubt that they ever will word such a contact that way.
