Would you say happy birthday to some one you wished would treat you better??

Hmm depends on the situation. I'm not one for accolades or flattery just to give it.

I do it all the time. Saying happy birthday or signing the birthday card is just polite. And how can I expect someone to treat me better if I start treating them crappy?

Though sometimes you just got to remove them from your interactions as much as possible to preserve your sanity because they will never change
