How to get over an ex-Lover?

It’s really hard. It took me years for some of them. And sometimes cutting off contact isn’t the answer - although doing it at first for a year or so might be a good idea. One time I reconnected with a lover I still loved after about 2 years - we talked a lot via text. I even went to see him a couple of times. After a while I didn’t feel the need to keep contact. It brought me closure and I moved on emotionally. Without reconnecting though, I’d prob still be crying in my soup.

No need to. I am still in contact with (most of) my ex-lovers. I like them all, I wish them all the best. I spend time with some of them. There's a reason they were my lovers.

Sometimes you just don’t. I’m happily engaged and loving life but there are some exs that cross my path and I can’t help but hurt a little. It’s just human nature.

Apparently there's a whole psychology to it and you can buy books about it to help. One of the hardest things in life, I found. All the best with it.

Go out and date, stay busy, think only of the bad side of your ex.
