Why do so many people post politics on here?

I don't understand. Most people ignore it and no one ever changes their mind on SW. It seems pointless.

i think they are looking for solidarity, for others to tell them that they also think the same and then it makes both more confident about what they think. people get so carried away when they're in a group of people who think the same thing they do.
