I'm not a big fan of Mr. Trump, but I think this time he's right. He is not "downplaying" anything, as far as I can see. There's absolutely no reason for panicking. At my local supermarket, toilet paper is sold out because people are crazy. Rice and pasta are sold out. People are hoarding long-life food. They are destroying supply chains. (Europe here)
PS I've seen a terrible video about three ladies screaming and fighting over a pack of toilet paper, somewhere in Australia.

He never denied it first of all. The first thing he did was request billions from congress to prepare for it! Second, More people died in the last few weeks from influenza (Which has a vaccine) Than the total from Corona virus! Facts are the key ;)

Oh by the way - the irrational "corona virus fear" (based on nothing, it's just another type of flu) is similar to the irrational "illegal immigration" fear, in my opinion.
