Honestly, is fasting really that difficult??

I'm doing it right now for spiritual/religious reasons and, I mean, as long as I drink a lot of water and coffee, I'm fine.

Yeah. Not eating for more than 8 hours causes me to feel ligtheaded, dizzy, nauseated, and unable to focus. If I go 12 hours I begin vomiting, get nosebleeds, and sometimes I pass out.

@BlueMetalChick Funny that. It's almost like our bodies want us to eat.

@Allelse My body especially. I was chronically starved for the first ten years of my life so as an adult, my body metabolizes food at an abnormally fast rate.

@BlueMetalChick Yikes! That's rough. No wonder your body doesn't take any of that 'fasting crap.

@Allelse Such is the bane of growing up in a war zone with both the United States and Saudi Arabia blockading your nation and refusing to allow food or water in your borders.

But they say every cloud has a silver lining. Mine is that my unnaturally high metabolic rate also means I can eat whatever I want and however much I want of it without ever having to worry about gaining weight or getting fat. I like to think of it as the universe giving me a nice gift to compensate for the suffering I endured as a child.

@BlueMetalChick I think you may have just helped me discover why my metabolism is so ungodly breakneck! I never thought that not eating much as a youngster could have those kinds of effects as you got older.

I'm sorry to hear your childhood was like that :( I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

@SubZeroSlays808 Someone had to do it I guess. Might as well be me because I'm tough af.
