Oh my! Hope it goes away soon. I used to get something similar on my inner wrists after playing volleyball.

Archery is expensive. I looked into it for the kids a few years back, & I couldn’t believe how expensive it was.

OUCH !! I'm surprised that whoever took you to the archery range didn't equip you with gloves and an armguard.

I haven't done much archery but when I did it was fun. In my high school years, at one summer camp, we had the opportunity to experience archery on horseback using a curved composite bow similar to ones used before the age of firearms. I wasn't great at it since it took superb intuitive skills at drawing, aiming, and firing..... but I had a whale of good time.

I want to try archery.

Yes. Since my early teens. Learned the hard way to grip the bow correctly.

Reminds me of the Christmas when Dad got me a recurve bow. I think I was 14. We'd shoot in the backyard at a homemade target. At times the neighbor's house, at the bottom of a hill beyond our backyard, got hit. Fortunately it was brick with few windows. Our (mostly Dad's) arrows just shattered on impact.

I had to get one of those arm guards too.

Ouch, no I don't at the moment but next year I plan to but a crossbow.
