I just have this weird aversion toward men.

I don't know why. I could blame it on mental health but the truth is idk what it is. I just know it's not the fault of the people on here, men, who show care toward me and I don't engage with them. It's my fault. You guys did nothing to harm me but for whatever reason, my brain just screams, "run away". I've been trying to fight it in the past couple days.

It’s understandable when you’ve been harmed in the past. My sister is the same. While it’s not all men who are the problem (and all women can’t even be trusted), one never really knows who is safe and who’s the threat. Some predatory people are really good at looking trustworthy and caring. 😕

Was there anyone in childhood that you felt wary of, or nervous around, that was a man? It may have formed the aversion over time as you grew up. I'm not a psychologist, it is just a thought.
