I think just the opposite. There are so many things today that weren’t tolerated when I was young. There’s an almost endless list.

@Adogslife sure but there has to be a limit. In todays world everyone keeps taking more and more. I WAS a victim i GOT help and stopped being a victim. Learned grew changed. In contrast much of the world gets victimized asks for and gets help but never changes. Plays the victim again and again continues to get help but never stops being the victim. Then complains goes bankrupt never changes and still claims victimization. Wtf happened?

@jehova Tolerance is becoming boundless. The “help” you speak about never comes with a quid pro quo.
Democracy, in its simplest form, is about majority rules. Now, the tail wags the dog.
We used to be a vibrant eclectic society - leading the world. Now? I believe we lead the world in obesity.

@Adogslife so in some ways we are becoming too tolerant and even pandering to some causes that maybe we shouldn't.

Why is it that so often people 'respond' to things that have not been said - or even to the opposite of what's been said?
As I am more senior that you
?? You say you're 60-69. I'm in the second half of 80-89. That may have some bearing on our ability to understand each other. As for having time to develop understandings of life, humor, irony ... I'm wayahead of you.Why is it that so often people 'respond' to things that have not been said - or even to the opposite of what's been said?
