@helenS you do know that historically the term was used very differently, and even now is disputable. I do not consider Hamas as true representatives of the land of Palestine, if such exists, they are a terrorist organization.

@samueltyler2 "Palestine" is just a code word, it stands for destroying Israel, in my opinion.

@YoMomma If the people in Gaza decided to live their life in peace and freedom henceforth, I'm convinced that the "friends of the Palestinian people" would turn their back on them immediately.

@helenS I'm reminded of the alleged comment made by the late Golda Meir, the legendary Israeli PM, who said that peace could only prevail in the region when the Arabs learned to love their children more than they hate the Israelis.
