you in support of reparation payments?

seems to me just people wanting handouts and using history as a form to get it.
I think its the stupidest thing.
Just watched a Piers Morgan debate or screaming match if you wanna call it that where they were Arguing about the king of Britain having to apologize for slavery and the black women arguing for it could not answer a single question and would just rant on about nonsense and eventually when finally asked what she wants, she said reparations.
So Pierce went on to ask if Roman and Viking ancestors should have to pay him reparations also and she went on about not talking about slavery, so it confused me what the hell she wanted reparations for haha..
anyway its dumb, go get a job and stop trying to get handouts wherever you can as far as i am concerned.

thoughts?

Of course you're against it. And of course you're trotting out that stupid argument about previous atrocities by other people.

Never met a Viking who didn't like red herrings.

@LordShadowfire i merely mentioned what made me think to make this thread and what was said in that discussion. Basically anyone can try and claim reparations owed to them.
Its no surprise you would be for it though. Can you give one single good reason why reparations should be paid? How would some money to people who were never slaves, make up for the past that they were not apart of?

@Torsten I don't know what race relations have been like where you are, but here in the US, black people got a raw deal for well over a century after the Civil War ended. The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution contains an exception that allows slavery in prisons. Cue the for-profit prisons, privately owned by corporations. Suddenly, black people were being accused and convicted of all kinds of bullshit crimes, then transported to privately owned prisons and sold. This happened well into the 1960s and '70s.

@LordShadowfire people of all races are falsely accused and convicted, still to this day. Can i claim reparations because other white guys were treated badly?
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Torsten Still trying pathetically to distract from the topic at hand.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire I am speaking on the topic and where you are going with it. What the fuck are you talking about? haha
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Torsten No. You are distracting from the ill treatment of black people in America by crying about being mistreated as a white person. Additionally, I gave you a very specific example of the horrific treatment of black people in my country, and you've given me nothing.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire I am not crying about being mistreated as a white person. I am arguing that your reason for reparations could be argued by basically anyone for them being owed it also.
I know you love to try and spin everything to be about white people crying about being mistreated when any topic is on race though, so it really was expected.
anyone can make a case for being owed reparations due to shit their ancestors went through. Its a incredibly dumb idea and again its just people wanting handouts.
Your free to your opinions though. If it ever was to be a thing, it should just come out of the taxpayers pockets who support it. Like a lil percentage out of your weekly wages. Im sure you would be cool with that though aye?

Which is a stupid fucking argument. How many centuries ago were white people being enslaved? A hell of a lot less recently. The current generation of black people is still impacted by this.
I know you love to try and spin everything to be about white people crying about being mistreated when any topic is on race though...
Because that's what you're doing.
anyone can make a case for being owed reparations due to shit their ancestors went through.
Jesus, you been hitting the mead again? I literally just got done saying that slavery in the form of for-profit prisons was going on well into the 60s and 70s. This is not some bullshit their ancestors went through 5,000 years ago or whatever. This was the latter half of the 20th century.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire I am always "hitting the mead" btw haha

ohh so there is now a deadline on when people can claim reparations? I am confused, who makes up these rules? Seems like maybe you are to try and make this fit your narrative.

I am not crying about shit. I myself was actually paid by the government a couple years back due to being mistreated as a child. Never asked for it though and I am certainly not crying about ever being dealt a shitty hand. the difference is though, shit actually happened to me. I am not claiming money for shit that did not even involve myself.
Again the argument is dumb

If shit happened in the past to people who are still alive, they have a case to demand somthing, anyone else should just stfu and stop wanting handouts based off others suffering

Oh, you're definitely drunk if you think I'm going to sit here and let you twist my words. Good night.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire actually I am not drunk at all right now and you cant honestly say that with a straight face when all you have ever done is try twisting what i say
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Torsten I tell the straight truth. You twist it.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire sure you do mate
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Torsten Not my fault you don't want to admit what you do.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire yeah its not my fault that i wont indulge your lies and attempts at warping everything i say to fit your narrative.
deny it all you like. Every conversation goes that way. You try to claim i said shit i never did. When that fails you claim its what i was trying to say without saying it and when that fails you just say i am a liar and whatever. Same old thing every time.
I have noticed in other convos you do try to defend your stance on the topic somewhat and here you just seem like trying to do whatever you can to avoid it.
So i ask you again, who makes these cut off rules on reparation payments and who determines who is eligible for them? You claimed cant ask for them when things go as far back 5000 years, so where did you get that from or did you just make that up?
