* Slightly black but almost white lives matter
* Slightly White but almost white lives matter
* Almost white but slightly yellow lives matter

Okay, a year ago, I would have laid into you with a savagery that would have made you block me in about 2 seconds flat. Tonight, I'm a little sleepy, a little stoned, and just plain feeling generous. So here it goes.

The whole reason the movement is called Black Lives Matter isn't to exclude anybody. It's the exact opposite. It's to remind everybody that despite their historical treatment, their lives do, in fact, matter. If they had wanted to be completely accurate about their intentions, they would have named it Black Lives Also Matter, or something of the sort, but that just doesn't roll off the tongue.

Okay?

It's not about excluding your white ass. It's about making sure they don't get excluded.

@LordShadowfire it doesn’t roll off the tongue because that wasn’t the phrase used over and over again for years.

‘Okay, a year ago, I would have laid into you with a savagery that would have made you block me in about 2 seconds flat’ I don’t block anybody, I don’t see why people who make leftist arguments seem to think that being unable to interact with people they might disagree with, is a virtue.

I look at it like this. A common form of protesting during the sixties was that black men would wear sandwich boards that had the phrase "Am I not a man?" on it.
Now, did that mean they thought black men should be seen as human, but not black women? Of course not. It was just the phrase that stuck.

@LordShadowfire oh I’m sorry, I mistook you for someone with a bit more maturity.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@BohemianBabe well that protest makes a lot more sense. Obviously that would be referring to the fact that, especially at that time, ‘human’ was synonymous with ‘man’. ‘Mankind’, ‘one small step for man’ etc and they were protesting about not being given equal human rights.
@pianoplayingsteve Yeah, even though it's not literally what they were going for, we all get what they meant. It's the same thing with BLM. They believe that society doesn't think black lives matter, so it needs to be said. It's not perfect, but we get what they're saying.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@BohemianBabe to believe that in 2022 is ridiculous, and to believe it more hardly just when there happens to be election cycles is even more ridiculous. If they want to protest against actual anti black racism they should boycott China. The force awakens poster intentionally made boyaga smaller, there was an ad where a black guy is put through a washing machine and out comes an East Asian guy that the lady immediately prefers, and then there was some anti black Chinese McDonalds, there was a warning in a Chinese tourist book about not going near to black and Indian people when visiting London etc but no, people over here will ignore blatant racism and twist and turn to find it in the west
@pianoplayingsteve I don't believe there is systemic racism against black people in America. I'm just saying that the phrase "black lives matter" isn't racist. I get what they're saying, even if I disagree with the larger narrative.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@BohemianBabe no I don’t think it’s racist, either. We should go back to the actual definition of racism, the idea of a hierarchy of races. Like pantheism is the idea of a group of gods, and socialism is an idea on wealth redistribution. But no, ‘racist’ is too powerful a word for people to control themselves from using outside the literal definition and just means anything now

@pianoplayingsteve I don't think not wanting to talk to a person who spent most of the afternoon talking shit about Jewish people while denying just how racist he truly is makes me immature.

@BohemianBabe I feel like you have been sticking your fingers in your ears every time this subject comes up, but there absolutely has been consistent mistreatment of black people in particular in the United States.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire I didn’t talk ‘shit’ about Jewish people all afternoon. You are indeed a very immature person.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@pianoplayingsteve Oh, I see. It's just my imagination that you were posting all kinds of bullshit about so-called Jewish supremacy and the Rothschilds, right? I'm lying about the fact that you said all that shit?
