@RodneyTrotter1 Was almost entirely fucking with you lol. Absolutely stellar delivery, 10/10 and I appreciate the smile
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@Oneiric I know you were lol, otherwise the reply would have been the polar opposite 🤣
Oneiric · 26-30
@RodneyTrotter1 Well, on that note, I need to get out of here before the void lurking in my chest encourages me to start shitposting

It's like asking why can't an addict just stop being an addict overnight. It's a pattern in the brain that is stronger than one's will. It often takes some external event/force to shake someone up enough to really change. For worse or better.

Some apparently try to induce it artificially with psychoactive drugs. I don't say I think it's good or bad, I just think it's risky but if it really helps someone...I guess it's good in that case.🤷🏻‍♀
Oneiric · 26-30
I agree with that. But, to give justice to your question, lets take it a bit further. We, each one of us, is shaped by that which we can comprehend most readily. The shit we don't comprehend? It's off-putting. Could even be scary. Often times comfort is the balancing weight against comprehension on the scales of history. Which way will the lever... lever. I apologize, I understand my jokes are dumb but I cannot stop myself for the life of... me. Anyway, We are systems under constraint. What we can do is derived from that certain balance. Right, well now I sound like Carl Jung and that is heresy. I'll see myself out.

hi, I feel as if I haven't connected with you today
how are you
how was your day

They choose that life. I think on some level they know, but that's what they want. It is easier and it feels safe to fit in.
People are predictable from their larger ideals to their daily endeavors and it irritates me when they think they're being clever or revolutionary.
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
Quit predicting me!!
Cowboybob · M
Everyone likes to belong. This leads to following the crowd
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Cowboybob not everyone
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
They're followers instead of thinkers and pathfinders.
Oneiric · 26-30
@Nitedoc Describe the difference, please. What defines a 'thinker' and a 'follower'? To preempt, it would be most effective to use specific, rigorous definitions to not open up too much of a debate.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@Oneiric Tell me why I should educate you, if you can't understand what I said?
Ducky · 31-35, F
Because people are all the same. A person is different, they can rationalize and think for themselves. But people, they're just mindless animals.
