Email? That's a distant memory for me! I create accounts and let them bask in the digital rainbow. Tech isn't really my vibe, let's celebrate the offline life!

It's nice to see they're keeping the old traditions alive.

@Gusman I read somewhere that the scammers do it to filter out intelligent/sceptical people. They often use spelling and grammatical mistakes for the same reason.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@SpudMuffin A good point, that. They want easy prey - the gullible and easily-led.

There is a big arithmetical error in the text too, but I didn't spot at first because it is in words and the eye tends to be drawn to the digits after it.

@SpudMuffin i can see that

dang man, what an opportunity, go for it 🤣

@Matt85 he would be a fool not to do so and could easily become the next Nigerian finance minister

@Sazzio I've had loads like that. I still can't figure out how they took control of a web cam I don't have. 🤔
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@NortiusMaximus LOL!

Thy don't need to know: they send as many attempts as possibly knowing a few who do have cameras, will fall for it even though the allegation is totally bogus.
Sazzio · 36-40, M
@NortiusMaximus Now, if someone sends money over then realise it's a scam do they go to the police? Police will wanna know WHY they sent money over if they truly had nothing t worry about?

It's double Whammy! On one hand a scammer stole a pedos' dosh on another a pedo deservingly lost their dosh. We're left in a paradox of showing joy or not? 🤔
