I had a company that I usually dealt with that raised my suspicions.
Said I do not trust what you are asking.
Eventually we got around/over the suspicions and transacted the deal, what ever it was.

@Gusman It’s even sadder that so many people actually are good and trustworthy but you can never tell who’s who so it only makes sense to remain wary.

I am a little worried right now.
I am about to close my Superannuation fund and will need to transfer a large amount to my bank account.
I will make a face to face appointment with a bank teller to ensure there is no possibility of any going missing.
