What was socially acceptable when you we're young, but now it's not.

I grew up in an era when smoking was ubiquitous and socially acceptable, with cigarettes prominently featured in advertisements, movies, and even hospitals. I even remember crowded restaurants filled with smoke and airplanes designated "smoking" and "non-smoking" sections near the end of the full on "No Smoking Everywhere" ban took effect

All that you mentioned. Kids were allowed to run free. Boys organized their own ball games with no adult interference/supervision. Of course, I can't ignore the racial segregation and Jim Crow rules that were everywhere in my southern town.

@WowwGirl Yes, we moved to Texas, but by then, most things I mentioned had changed in my hometown.

@exexec that's crazy. 90% of things mentioned on this page still happens were I live. Dang
