As do many other countries. Lancelin is a beach side town 120km north of Perth. Last census (2021) has the population at 746. This number swells to about 2400 at the height of summer. I was there yesterday and came across this signage in the public facility.
I had to mop the restrooms at the restaurant where I was a cook. I learned that women line the toilet seat with toilet paper so their precious bottoms don't touch the seat. Then they leave the paper there for the next customer to remove. The floor was covered with toilet paper.
Lots of countries have a hole in the floor to do their business in, so that squat makes sense. I guess they carry it with them always. If the toilet seat is gross though, would you really sit on it (in it)? Yuck.
At work they have given these people tteir own toilets complete with bum showers (a waist height shower head next to the toilet. They frequently bugger them up and come into other toilets and smash the seats, leave footprints on the seats and take in bottles/cups of water and leave in there. It really is disgusting.
