She is a textbook schitzophrenic and needs fairly commonplace medications and counseling.

It's a rather commonplace disorder. In the US we very recently came out with a new medication for it. It's treatable.

Some hallucinations can be manifested by adverse medical conditions. She needs to get checked out by a doctor soon.
