You know you're getting old when...

you can remember, in detail, things that happened 4 or 5 decades past, but can't remember where you left your car keys 10 minutes ago.

Have you looked in the fridge?🤔
Barny52 · 56-60, M
Or why you walked in the kitchen
walabby · 61-69, M
I must have been born old. I always used to lose my car keys, 4 or 5 decades ago... :(
katydidnt · 61-69, F
I have a car???
CestManan · 46-50, F
Before my mom passed, she had a habit of losing her teeth.
BE GLAD it is just your car keys. 😄
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@CestManan Yes, when you're just born you are given things to bite on to help you teeth. When you become older you try not to bite on anything that may help you lose your teeth. 🤣
CestManan · 46-50, F
@maskedbandit Oh I know that for fact. 😄
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@CestManan Me too. 👍 😅

@jshm2 has it come to that , tagging air or following blue teeth, it’s gotten worse than I thought.
I’m going back to bed before I forget where that is, oh yes I haven’t gotten up yet. 🙃

Or that you now have a keyless car linked to the phone you can’t find
I dread the day when I get into my car and go "uurraah"
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Wrong habits really. I always put my keys in my right pocket. So I have yet to ever lose my keys.

Same with my glasses. Always put them in just one place.

Been doing this ever since my mid twenties.
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
And you know you're getting old when you can't even fall fast. Slo-mo-joe. 😅
CestManan · 46-50, F
@maskedbandit Of course when an old person falls, it is this huge tragedy but when a young person falls, everyone laughs.

When you can’t get into or out of a chair without groaning...
Usually in my coat.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
It'll come to you.
Yourguyinthecity · 51-55, M

Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M

maskedbandit · 61-69, M

Did you know that what you've described in your post is a primary sign for the onset of vascular dementia? Dementia affects our short-term memory, not our long term memory.
