@Punches Some of the cruelest things I've seen lately has been coming out of the mouths of people that wear a big cross around their neck and look at their bank statement as proof good loves them no matter how many others get screwed along the way. Some day God talks to them, not so sure it's God. And most times what they heard God say conveniently justified their behavior towards their fellow man.

Most Protestants are Catholics. Not Roman Catholic. The difference is basically that one group takes their orders from Rome. Not one time have I ever heard any faith mentioned besides the Jewish which Jesus was born Jewish and died Jewish. What makes a true Christian is being like Christ taught and believing Him to be the Messiah. He used to get pissed at the merchants selling fruit or animals to sacrificed at the temple.
I spent almost 11 years at a religious school before I dropped out to join the military. That includes a religion class almost daily. And was graded on not just test scores sometimes on if Sister what's her name felt about how I practiced her lessons. High school was grade based. Those buns would talk amongst themselves, through like did anyone see little Johnny at Mass? I think it would sway a grade point. It was so subjective. My mother in law disliked Roman Catholic Church for a fair enough religion. My wife had a severely and profoundly handicapped sister. One set of grandparents tried to have her institutionalized. Behind their back. They did that in the fifties. Anyway on one of hundreds of hospital emergency trips. They were in a waiting room when a nun(Catholic hospital) come in and joyously said something like," even if she passes away tonight be happy because I just baptized her. " Ain't that some crap. Embarrassed me and I knew she wasn't lying. Doctors have her 4 years tops. She passed away after her 25th birthday. She wouldn't have lived 2 years in an institution.
This story isn't directed at you it's just that anyone that's self righteous because of the name of their faith or their knowledge of Scripture really hasn't read it or really doesn't get it. My religion does not have any bearing on my chances of seeing paradise. My chances are based on how I live my life and how I respect others lives.

If you have 2 cows and the government takes both and sells you the milk that's communism
If you have two cows and sell the milk to buy a bull to make more cows and milk to sell that is capitalism .
