@Gumba1000 Men are the ones who decided that was how that would work, not women. Men were the ones with the power to declare war in the first place, and in the countries where women were forbidden from participating in the fighting (which isn’t everywhere, btw), men decided that, too.
@Gumba1000 Not me. In many societies, [b]men[/b] have treated women as if they were. That’s just fact. And many organized religions have encouraged the belief that women were to remain subordinate and submissive. There have also been societies where women were given or allowed more active roles, even leadership, and they’ve proven up to the task.

@bijouxbroussard Well then, if women are physically weaker, then their place isn't at the top. It means men are physically able to do more tasks than women. So should men be penalised for being able to perform better?

@Gumba1000 Many did not stay at home they worked in the factories to supply the war effort. WAC WWII - Woman's Army Corps, noncombat positions, they also flew aircraft moving them from air bases to other air bases when needed.

@bijouxbroussard It is not based on intelligence. Have you heard of Boris Johnson or Diane Abbot? Yes there should be an age limit in leadership, retirement age.

How can you want reparations for women for something that women did to themselves via church, yet not think men are due reparations for sacrificing their lives? Women weren't calling for equality in serving in the ranks, no. Women were happy to stay at home.

Reparations for women for church would be problematic because women have participated in the victimization of other women in organized religions. Similarly, reparations for men going to war would make [b]no[/b] sense because it was [b]men[/b] who prevented women from serving in the military, even those who wanted to serve.
@bijouxbroussard Women did not want to serve. Women didn't even want suffrage. Very few women protested or fought for suffrage. Even fewer made noise about wanting to join the military.
@Gumba1000 You obviously know nothing about this issue. Women did fight for suffrage—it’s how we gained the vote, and [b]why[/b] women [b]do[/b] serve in the armed forces now. In past wars, there were even a few instances of women posing as men in order to serve alongside their brothers and husbands. You’re incredibly ignorant about so much of what is historical fact !
