I’m a Canadian and I 100% agree and will GLADLY debate anyone on why it should be legal (yet monitored for smoking and driving).

Im fine with weed but I still don’t agree with somebody driving stoned they aren’t focused enough no matter how long you’ve been smoking it’s never a good idea to drive high.

Also how many people you see smoke a joint than start a fight? Alcohol is WAY worse with NO BENEFITS as to where marijuana is actually known to have great medical advantages!

Plus kids experiment with drugs, so I think a child OR adult should be sent to jail over a rolled up piece of plant?

Weed is actually the #1 detox method favoured by addicts who ACTUALLY WANT to get better of off the REAL DOPE.

Even if you hate weed I’d rather see a bunch of stoners walking down the road spending their money on local business’s than crack heads stealing from local business’s!

The only reason it's legal is so that is can be taxed. Just like alcohol. The same number of people would be smoking it either way. The big difference will be less people will get in trouble for having it on them

It is natural

cant justify it being banned when at the same time alcohol is legal.
criminalizing things the people enjoy and want only makes organized crime stronger.... from prohibition to todays cartells...

@Mattypp
Nicotine is a narcotic
That, I agree with as I made a personal vow to myself when I entered my teenage years never to start smoking, drinking alcohol or consume narcotics.

And even though I've never smoked, or consumed narcotics, I must confess that I haved drank my fair share of alcohol when I was seventeen years old, on account of the fact that it helped me to cope with many personal problems I was dealing with at the time.

The war on drugs is a dismal failure and simply turn non criminal users into criminal users. Pot has been around for all of human history. But no one was a criminal until someone decided to make it a crime.
It's less addicting than cigarettes and the smoke is less cancer causing. It has legitimate medical uses. Especially the CBD components.
The only thing to worry about is exposure to under 18 year olds as it can be toxic to the glial cells in the brain that support the neurons and make up the majority of cells in the brain. Adult brains are more resistant to THC as their brains are out of the growth stage. But in child and teens who's brains are still developing this can kill of the glial cells which leads to the death of neurons in turn causing learning disabilities and delays in development.
Also THC can induce schizophrenia in those with a family history or that are susceptible to the disease.
But are any of these reason to turn otherwise law abining citizens into even harder criminals. No.

It's better than keeping it illegal. It makes no sense to allow alcohol with all the problems that come with it & keep marijuana illegal. So in that, I'd say it is a good thing.

@TheEmperor it's not illegal where I am at. You can pick up some buds from the tobacco store.
