UK GOV GOALS TO HIT BEFORE 2050

An extract from the government document 'Absolute Zero' (if it's too hard to read here, it can easily be found on uk.gov)

The Ship of Fools in which these idiots are blindly navigating functions only on wind power, so it will continue to float regardless of their follies.

I've no idea where you got this from and have no way of checking - the official UK government website is GOV.UK (not uk.gov) and the policy is "net zero" (not "absolute zero"). This looks like somebody's interpretation of the policy and it is not very coherently written.

The policy is wide-ranging and ambitious, I agree, and will involve some effort and changes to established habits (shock, horror). Given that the Prime Minister and other government ministers seem more concerned with their own short-term survival than that of the planet, steps towards achieving the goal have thus far been timid and limited in effect.

@Adeptlinguist I've had a bad cold before over the decades. But never had a nasty flu where they told people to stay at home without treatment until they needed hospital, where they were ventilated to death. I suppose that strange reasoning could be just that the hospitals needed the cash - tens of thousands of dollars for every recorded " covid death".

Thanks for your concern, but I have horse paste and medicines like that (ivermectin, always recognised as a powerful medicine, has now been validated for covid treatment - yet another conspiracy theory proved right).

Trouble is, as the CDC et al have admitted, you, vaccinated to the hilt, are in no way protected any longer (if you ever were) against the latest variants they are fearmongering over.

Get that mask back on! Two, if you're still able to breathe.
@WalterF My son is a doctor. He saw many people like you die agonising deaths. I hope it doesn't come to that for you. But you are beyond reason so I guess you don't care.

@Adeptlinguist No worries on my part. Good health, a good diet, exercise, an untainted, efficient immune system, no altered genes.

Very sorry about those who died of covid. In the UK, the medical establishment didn't do a great job saving them. We had nurses filming themselves dancing in the corridors of empty hospitals, despite the panicky media reporting.

By the way, in March 2020 we in this house turned off our TV for good. The reporting was just so over the top. We saw through it early.

Since then, never looked back.

I want to know what kind of cr^ck they were smoking when they came up with this nonsense.
Airports closed and no shipping?
Do these cr^ckpots know how their economy works?
If I were to go any further I'd have to write a whole book on how stvpid this document is.

@rrraksamam they want to destroy everything for us, not them though, they’ll carry on as normal.

Very little of what they're suggesting is practically achievable.
Certainly not in the time frame suggested.

I suppose it gives the government specific directions to head in rather than the current mess of each man for himself and let's hope he makes it.

If you take the fuel issue alone. How long did it take to go from the old diesel/petrol four stroke to catalytic converters to greener fuels to modern engines ?
Are there really no 80's cars on the road today ?
