If you look up Pygmy on YouTube . This is what it would be like

less humans , more minerals , clean air , colder climate , more resources , a better planet for the animals

Not good.

@BohemianBabe actually it would be great, no constant work rat race and capitalism.
Agriculture was the birth of capitalism.

@Peaceandnamaste There was even more work. Life was a constant struggle for survival. If you didn't have enough food for the winter, you died. If you weren't able to fight off the other tribes, you died. If you got sick, you died.

@BohemianBabe At least the Earth wouldn't be polluted and we'll still have fresh water and rivers to drink instead of polluted rivers and creeks from industrial run off from waste.
If humans were still hunter gatherers, our population would be in the thousands and millions instead of the billions, the birth of modern agriculture led to pollution and overpopulation.
Climate change wouldn't exist either and we'll still have our ozone layer.

They would be the Inuit or any of a dozen other groups of people who live entirely by doing that every day now........just like their ancestors did for the last 1 milllon years.

Not human. Humans are filled with wonder. Humans advance. Humans pursue progress, sometimes kicking and screaming all the way forward. Stop looking to the past for solace.

Not as interesting but safer climate.
They still are hunter gatherers and always will be. They just prey upon and steal different things these days and do it in different ways.

I'm sure your pre history was a mixed bag, not just a rapid ascent from killing with projectile points to the nukes.
But history is fiction, now, anyway.

Probably more in harmony with their surroundings, except maybe with other humans. Also many more would die very young and many more women would die in childbirth.

I'm sure I'm supposed to say things would be all sunshine and roses, but the average human life expectancy in those days was about 30 years, if that. So that's a big fuck that from me.
