The things which motivate animals to rape and kill each other are the same as the things which motivate humans to do the same. The only reasons humans commit much greater atrocities is because our intelligence enables larger scales of violence and we currently live in much larger social groups than we originally evolved to it. There is virtually nothing else special about us.
In nature all is allowed and humans are no exception. We have evolved to believe otherwise through our self imposed morality

@PepsiColaP yes, we are the exception...we are supposed to be civilized...and we have a much more evolved brain structure.

@Wiseacre we are mammals and civilization is a construct , it goes against nature
Wiseacre · F
@PepsiColaP idc...I go for civilized

As much as I respect, care about, and really like most non-human animals, I know that they aren't much, if any, more predictable than humans. Neither do either wild or 'domesticated' animals, kill only to eat and survive. 🤷

Humans kill for the same reasons lol...the difference is that animals can't analyze those reasons or articulate why they felt that way. Most of the time, people are killed because they are considered a threat in at least some way, they are competition, or someone wants to demonstrate their dominance.
If anything, they are closer to being animals than the rest of us

My friends' cat exterminated without thinking twice an infinite amount of birds, small rodents, lizards, frogs - and rarely if ever consumed them, just left the corpses laying there
And this is just one example I can think of, I don't however think your hypothesis is really solid

Um there was a mothet elephant who not only killed the woman who shot her calf but then desicrated the funeral, as well as a the story of the lions of the tsavo, as sort of proving this point not 100% right

{@linseyonthereal] 😞 it is bit disconcerting we are suppose too be the most intelligent creature on this planet yet we act the way we do

Actually apex predators sometimes kill off the competition. Not to mention some animals kill and eat their offspring.

Or they have a legitimate reason to kill or do anything. I hate humans

I think the human race can be counted as rats on Earth.
