Is it time to ban church in the US?

In the last 3 weeks alone, 30 religious figures, mostly youth pastors, have been arrested for sex crimes involving children.
Since there is such a huge discourse around banning or restricting things to help protect children, (except guns of course) we should just ban church services outright, right? It is clear that the people who attend and lead them are the biggest threat to children in America (except guns of course).
You’d assume that republicans would be in favor of this ban, but they are more interested in projecting their own tendencies onto drag queens and lgbt people.

The more I learn about this the more I can sympathize with china's crack down on religion. They wouldn't put up with that kind of shit. And I'm not even fond of china. But state atheism just makes sense sometimes.
@canusernamebemyusername State takeover of religion is nothing anyone should hope for. The state becomes the faith, so they outlaw religion. I totally respect your right to not believe but what you are talking about is very dangerous. I would hope you would as vehemently protect my right to believe as I do your right to not.

@Emosaur freedom works both ways, or it doesn’t. Period.

@Emosaur there’s no normally. It’s wrong and people (and organizations if culpable) should be held to account. This is a far cry from banning churches as the OP suggested and this initial comment suggested China with their high record of human abuses should be lauded for.
@Emosaur please tell me at what point I should be more accepting of this.

@Emosaur I’m just glad your hate doesn’t rule things. The homeless vet that I hand a blanket to at the homeless shelter could give a fuck what I believe. He does care that I saw him as a person. Where do you volunteer? I can give you my weekly schedule. Oh yeah, I’m a Christian…. I should be banned.

@Emosaur you don’t know me at all. How dare you. I am gay. What good do you do? How to you help others? Or are you just talk?

@Emosaur I don’t believe they do. I’ve had many discussions with my priest about why I don’t believe that scripture has ever talked about homosexuality as a sin… in the context of a monogamous and loving homosexual relationship. He has not refused my communion and I am married (outside the church of course) to my wife. The world is a lot larger than you’d like to believe. js.

@Emosaur My Mum almost died last week and I’m a little tired. I’ll maybe discuss your wrong interpretations of my faith tomorrow. Good night.

@Emosaur Hey, so I'm going to have to step in and say not all Christians are like that. Some of them ignore Old Testament crap that goes against "love thy neighbor".
