Which one sounds more depressing?

Milo, a homeless man goes into a restaurant. He tries to buy a cheese burger but can't afford it. He sits down and thinks about his life. He sees a women throw a brand new wrapped up cheese burger into the trash. He's wonders if he should go into the trash can to get it.

Luna is 12 years old. Her and her family are homeless. Unfortunately the family is so poor that they often go dumpster diving for food. Luna is sweet and innocent. She sees it as treasure hunting.
